Happy Spring
The 9th grade girls and Home Ec teacher prepared the display. I had to take the picture twice because the teacher didn't like how she looked. To get them to smile is difficult. They all have the Mona Lisa smile unless you tease them a bit.

The day of welcoming spring. It is a festival here and the story is that winter refused to leave so spring could come and they had a fight, winter injured spring and she bleed on him so a small pin in given and worn the whole month of March over your heart to show spring we appreciate the sacrifice she made to come and she is ever near our heart. the pin is one side red like a flower or yarn or crochet something and the other side is white with a small spot of red. The pins are given as gifts.

Be careful what you promise because you will have to deliver. At the beginning of the school year the kids came up with rules to follow for class that they would be responsible for. I made charts to keep track of how well they did with the promise of a celebration if they attained soo many points. All my classes have, so we needed a free day with a structured activity about health. Like a film with a message.... Nuts to that, these kids have a lot of energy so I did a competition day in the gym and gave the winners all A for the day and loser A- . These are the pictures of the classes. I had to teach them how to make pyramids from humans as they had no idea. Tom was a big help keeping the kids going to the right stations because they got so excited they forgot how to count and my partner teachers and I laughed a lot during our classes. We all had a great day. Problem is we will probably have to do another one before school is done...

8th grade the trouble makers. You better keep them very busy or they will make your day awful.......
7th graders small class, but still have hormones so keep em busy!

4th grade with Galina my partner for grade school! |
The 6th graders are my favorite. Maybe because they are in class 1st hour and are attentive, or because they are sweet. They are not in gym clothes because their class is tomorrow. Today they did a program for Mothers Day (March 8th) for their moms and grandma.
My camera ran out of battery for the 5th grade so I will show case them another time. One last thing...
Time to clean out the cellar and make some money. This is what we would call in America, a still! The wine that is 2 years old is being distilled in the back yard to make Rique (white lightening made from grapes right next to the chicken coop. We had some of this rique tonight. Gramma calls it medicamente! So we should drink up to stay healthy. It puts us both to sleep....
La rivedere pentru acum (Bye for now)...Marc
